Starting a nonprofit is expensive. Who knew? (Not us!)

We’ve had our fair share of hurdles in getting this project off the ground - including discovering that most larger philanthropic organizations require nonprofits to be both operational for at least one year, and have a list of donors that are effectively “cosigning” the mission before they will consider awarding grant funding.

While our long-term sustainability plan relies heavily on grant funding, we’re facing a critical timing challenge. To serve schools effectively in the 2025-26 academic year, we need to build momentum now.

That’s why this startup funding is so important! We need to bridge the funding gap so that we can make it to the 1-year mark in good shape, so that we can serve for years to come.

Our immediate need:

We're seeking $150,000 in startup funding to bridge this crucial first 18 months. This initial investment will enable us to:

• Build vital community partnerships

• Connect with district and state-level education leaders

• Begin marketing our expertise & services in the education community

• Secure grant funding in the short- and long-term

This seed funding isn't just about survival - it's about laying a strong foundation that will allow us to serve schools effectively for years to come.
